Dom works for W3C, the open standards organizations that sets technical standards for the Web. He is responsible there for the Immersive Web project which aims at making Web browsers a primary platform to deploy and distribute virtual and augmented reality experiences, in collaboration with all the major names in the AR/VR industry. In particular, he supervizes the development of WebXR, a set of APIs that enable to use JavaScript to create immersive experiences on phones, VR and AR headsets.


W3C is a non-profit international standards organization anyone can join to help define the technical standards that make the Web work for everyone, on every device.rnrnIn the XR context, W3C develops standards to enable the Immersive Web, making VR and AR experiences available in web browsers via a set of technologies, most notably the WebXR JavaScript API.
