Sport and exercise are not only the basis of health and personal well-being. They are also an important anchor of social integration. Unfortunately, over half of all Germans do not get enough exercise. The resulting health problems are a growing problem in all communities.rnIn the Next Level Sport project, the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences together with the local rehab facility medicos.AufSchalke is developing novel, immersive sports and movement experiences in virtual and augmented reality that go beyond traditional sports and exercises.rnThe aim is to increase the motivation to move on the one hand and to ensure the quality of execution through motion tracking on the other. An analysis of the training progress is also possible in this way. Various offers are developed for leisure, competitive and youth sports, but also for therapeutic applications in the rehabilitation sector.
