PATRICE RONDAO ALFACE, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist at Bell Labs, Nokia in Antwerp, Belgium. Author of more than 30 journal and conference papers, and 10+ granted patents. His current research interests are related to Virtual Reality (as well as AR, MR), with a focus on representations (light fields, point clouds...) for immersive applications, their processing, compression and streaming. He is currently leading the ILLUMINATE research project that aims at streaming first 6-DoF experiences.
