Filion-Mallette is an associate professor at the Université du Québec du Montréal (UQAM) where he teaches interaction design (IxD). His recent research addresses theoretical and practical issues related to the continuity of human beings and their evolution as complex patterns of information. He is a member of the Laboratoire de design et interaction (LabDI), of the Centre de recherche des images numériques (CRIN), of the Chaire Diament pour la cybersanté mentale, and was involved with Metalab.
