George Margetis

Researcher, Interaction Designer HCI Lab/ICS/FORTH, Greece

George Margetis holds a Ph.D. in “Information Systems and Human-Computer Interaction” and an M.Sc. in “Computer Networks and Digital Communications”. He is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the HCI Laboratory of FORTH-ICS. His recent work includes the analysis and investigation of tools and interaction techniques for multimodal interaction in X-Reality environments. He has participated as a technical coordinator, on behalf of HCI Lab, in a number of European and National research projects.

HCI Lab/ICS/FORTH

The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), has a long tradition in conducting basic and applied research, developing applications and products, and playing a leading role in Greece and internationally. In its over thirty‐year history, FORTH‐ICS has established itself as an internationally known and highly competitive research institute, with a modern infrastructure and a broad range of R&D and educational activities. The Human Computer Interaction Laboratory of ICS‐FORTH, established in 1989, is an internationally recognised centre of excellence, with accumulated experience in user interface software technologies, design methodologies, and software tools. The Laboratory carries out leading research activities focused on developing user interfaces for interactive applications and services that are accessible, usable, and ultimately acceptable for diverse users addressing a wide variety of technological platforms.
