Dimitrios Ververidis is working 10 years in XR applications; developing XR applications for Android and Web platforms using Metaio, Tango, ARCore, Vuforia, Unity3D, WebXR, and Three.js; exploiting interfaces such as Kinect and Myo; and specially developing a web based IDE for Unity3D (http://heliosvr.mklab.iti.gr), with applications in culture and education getting the 3rd place in a Greek innovation competition in culture by the Ministry of Culture.

HeliosVR authoring tool is a web platform that works as (A) a 3D content repository; (B) an authoring tool for VR applications; (C) an authoring tool for Digital Labels (corporate owned - single use tablets). As regards 3D Content repository: Easily upload, manage, and view 3D models on the web. As regards Authoring VR applications: Create VR applications without knowing programming by exploiting our Web IDE for Unity3D including Scene Editor and back-end Unity3D compiler. As regards authoring Digital Labels: Export the web view of 3D models from the web based 3D repository into an Android Tablet with screen pin-locking capabilities in order to create Tablets with 3D content below Artifact displays in the Museum (Digital Labels. The tool has received awards such as EU Innovation Radar 2016 among the 16 best results from EU projects; and the 3rd place in Greek Tap2Open innovation competition by the Ministry of Culture for being one of the most innovative solutions for Museums.
